Product Review: Skinny Quinoa Sticks – Sweet Onion

So with my food sensitivities/allergies/intolerances (gluten, soy, dairy,legumes) , it’s rare that I find a snack that really hits the spot.

For the most part I cook at home, but sometimes I want a crunchy snack that makes me feel like a kid again. (So weak I know but I’m human and the addictions have become nostalgia! Lol)
These babies hit it outta the park…forrealsies.
They taste just like Funyuns!!! I previously thought I would never feel that yummy Funyun feeling again. Boy was I wrong.
I could go on and on. That’s how yummy they are. But I digress, if you want a yummy allergy friendly snack that tastes like the good old days…here it is.

Coconut Craze 


Why love coconuts?! The cold, sweet water is like nectar. So yummy and rejuvenating. I also ate the meat inside with the berries, which is way more filling than most would think. And that was my breakfast. Some might say that a breakfast needs to be more “complete”. Totally not true.
A few of the amazing benefits of young raw coconut water and meat:
1. Rich in antioxidants
2. Rich in electrolytes, hydrating power!
3. Great source of the “good fats”, the kind that your brain thrives well on (medium- chain triglycerides)
4. Supports and boosts immune functions
5. improved skin (you know that radiant glow we have sometimes…totally helps with looking alive!)

*** as a warning though, for those with sensitive digestive systems…too much coconut can cause stomach pain because of overconsumption do Lauric acid.
So as with all things, consume in moderation.

Simple Smoothie Quickie 

Today I wanted a smoothie bowl, so I made one with what I had.

Voila!


Blend:1/2 cup of Mixed Berries

1/2 cup of Cashew Milk (your preference)

1 super ripe organic banana

1/2 scoop of Nature’s Food Plant Based Fit Protein Vanilla

1 tbs of Justin’s Vanilla Almond Butter

Toppers:

1 palmful gluten free oats (Bob’s Red Mill)

1 sliced organic kiwi

blueberries and raspberries.

(Sit down and enjoy ,but first pat yourself on the back for being awesome.)
